Dustcheck invests in ‘cutting edge’ technology(April 2011)


Dustcheck, the UK’s leading manufacturer of bespoke industrial dust extraction and filtration equipment, has invested in new hi-tech machinery which will have a significant impact on the business.

A £35,000, 160 ton CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Hydraulic Press Brake has been installed at our Stoke-on-Trent base.

This impressive piece of kit ensures the precision cutting and folding of the metal parts used in our custom-made dust control solutions which we supply across a wide range of industries.

In addition to the installation of the new press brake, Dustcheck has also brought on board an expert in the use and development of the technology – Matt Carr.

Explained works manager Bill Moran: “The installation of this impressive piece of machinery effectively makes us self-sufficient as our existing computer software links into the machine and ensures complete precision in our work.”

“The new press brake also gives us greater flexibility and enables us to buy laser profiles from a number of suppliers rather than being tied to just one.

“Also, having Matt on board makes a big difference to our knowledge pool. He brings to the business an in-depth understanding of press brake technology which he learned with JCB and his expertise will enable us to harness the full capabilities of the machine for the benefit of clients.

“We believe this will ensure we remain the market leader in our supply of innovative dust extraction and filtration systems to industries ranging from food and pharmaceuticals to agriculture, metals and minerals.”
