Team expands as Dustcheck sees growth (July 2011)

Dustcheck, the UK’s leading manufacturer of bespoke industrial dust extraction and dust filtration equipment, is keeping its word as a period of growth sees three key members of staff step up to become directors of the firm and three new employees joining the Dustcheck team.

Peter Dawson, previously Sales Manager at Stoke-on-Trent based Dustcheck, is now the Sales Director and is tasked with building the sales team and attracting new business. Former sheet-metal worker, Bill Moran, who has worked his way up the Dustcheck corporate ladder for the last nineteen years, has assumed the role of Production Director. Lastly, bringing over 28 years of experience to his new role, Nigel Hubbard has been promoted to Technical Director.

The internal re-shuffle has also created a series of brand new roles; this month saw the appointment of the new Works Manager – Matthew Carr, Draughtsman - Ian Woolam and Technical Sales Engineer - Andy Derby.

“Along with my co-Managing Director we decided that we needed more support in the strategic areas of the business, so the appointment of three directors to cover Sales, Production and Technical means we can take a step back and work 'on' the business rather than in it,” said Eddy Spires, Managing Director at Dustcheck.

Eddy has recently retired from his four year tenure as Chairman of industry association SHAPA (Solids Handling and Processing Association).

“Now is a crucial time for us, Having survived the recession we are ready to move the business forward,” he added.
