Dustcheck director set to leave SHAPA in good shape (May 2010) Dustcheck Director Ed Spires is preparing to handover the controls at leading industry body SHAPA after four years at the helm. Ed has been Chairman of the Solids Handling and Processing Association since 2007. "I am pleased to be able to leave SHAPA with the association continuing to enjoy stability and an optimistic outlook," commented Ed. "The hard work put in by members has enabled us to ride out the recession with relatively little difficulty. "Membership is stable and I am confident that the industry is in a good position to take advantage of a future economic up-turn." SHAPA is a major voice for the industry and holds regular meetings for members together with awards events, exhibitions, and social occasions. It supports is members by offering information on a number of issues such as exporting, financial and technical advice.
