Important British Legislation HSG103 - Safe handling of combustible dusts - precautions against explosions HSG258 - Guidance on permit-to-work systems Every year thousands of workers in Britain are exposed to dust, fume or other airborne contaminants at work and many of them contract occupational asthma and related lung disorders. To help combat this, Health and Safety legislation has been introduced to provide guidance for employers on Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) to improve the quality of the air that employees breathe by removing airborne contaminants and ATEX legislation which governs the safe handling of combustible dusts. Dustcheck's systems comply fully with all of this legislation. The HSE have produced several leaflets aimed at employees, employers and air filtration suppliers. Please click on the links above to download the leaflets. Click on Adobe Reader logo if you require their free software to read a PDF file. |
